What to Bring along for an Appointment
Please remember to obtain and bring the following:
- Referral letter from GP, family physician or other doctor
- Medicare card, DVA card, pension card
- List of medication, X-rays, MRI’s, CT scans etc., and any other relevant information
How to cancel an Appointment
Telephone the office during business hours and allow at least 1 days’ notice as a courtesy to other patients on a waiting list.
Do I need a referral to make an appointment?
Most medical specialists request a referral from either a GP or another specialist. This is partly to try to ensure that the specialist you are seeing is appropriate for you and your condition. Medicare will also reimburse part of the cost if a referral has been provided. Patients without a referral can be seen but medicare will not provide any rebate to the patient.
